Generation to Generation

Hi again!
I really didn't have many Valentine's pictures to work with for some of the February challenges - so this month was quite the challenge itself!
Anyways I have another warm and happy page that includes a heart! For this layout about my beautiful family I used the February single page sketch from "Stick it Down".

February Single Page Sketch

A little note to update: this layout was the winner!!! The post about that is here.

That's it for the month of February. It was a very productive one: I have made 10 pages! Reminding myself that I haven't scrapped since 2013, it just shows how badly my creative juices were boiling :)
Thanks once again for stopping by and checking out everything I have had to share. Thanks for all challenges! Until next time! Be good and creative!

We are MORE

Hello! I have something new to share with you. This new scrapbook page means a lot to me.

It is me in the photo with DVD movie "Still Alice" in my hands. I work as a carer in a day center, where service users have Alzheimer's disease. It is a very meaningful and rewarding place to work and I love what I do.

To become a carer I did many courses and during one of them I had to present a movie review. I have chosen a medical drama film "Still Alice" (2014). The film is a realistic and emotional story about a woman living with Alzheimer's disease.
Alice (actress Julianne Moore) successfully showed the struggle, confusion, anger, pain and isolation of having such a disease. A big subject in the film is the issue of what gets left behind when all the things that define a person (past, future, independence and dignity) crumble away. The film gives an understanding that Alice is more than what she can remember.

I would definitely recommend watching this film. It will make you think deeply about different aspects of life and it will give you a debate to have with your friends and family.

Two challenges that gave me the go to create this layout that I am entering are:

This is Awesome

Happy Sunday!

Today I am pleased to share with you a new page. The layout is about my two sons - Tomas and Benas. They both were 1 year of age when the photos were taken. Benas is in the picture on the left side, Tomas is on the right side. Benas was born 3 years after Tomas and he was wearing some of the clothes left after Tomas. They look like twins in these pictures.
I am going to submit this layout to "Lasting Memories" for the February challenge BLACK+WHITE+GREEN.
For this layout I also used the February "JumpStart" sketch at "The ScrapRoom Blog".
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Have a great day!

ALWAYS EXPLORE

Hello Crafty Friends!
I have had quite a bit of break from my scrapbooking, but now it is time to get back to it.
Today I am sharing a layout for the February challenge at "More than Words". The challenge is based on a word inspiration - "ALWAYS" and we have to add a favorite quote.
